Scott’s goal is to help people create a lifestyle that they’ll want to sustain. Certified as a Personal Trainer by the International Sports Sciences Association, Scott lives by the belief that consistency is key to success.
“I enjoy communicating with my clients about their fitness goals, then working within their capabilities in achieving those goals. It’s all about helping people – even when someone isn’t working with me, and I see they aren’t performing an exercise correctly, it’s rewarding to walk over and explain to them a more effective and safe way to do it. Because consistent exercise that is performed correctly is so very important to staying healthy and avoiding injury or illness.
Communication is the most important element in the client/trainer relationship. It’s important for me to know about physical limitations, the history of success (or failure), and lifestyle needs. With all that knowledge we can set realistic, attainable goals with accountability. The dialog helps clients understand why each exercise is beneficial, and encourages them to do the exercises correctly.
