Paul has been engaged in athletics all his life. Growing up in Duluth, MN, he played various sports with an emphasis on basketball. Due to his intense interest in exercise and the complexity of the human body, he earned both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Exercise Physiology from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
Paul has extensive experience as a Personal Trainer at the University of Minnesota. This involved several sports including football, basketball, track and volleyball. He also has trained in other venues prior to beginning his doctorial studies at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. In the fall of 2006 Paul accepted a position as a professor of Exercise Science at Winston-Salem State University. He is a board certified Exercise Physiologist recognized by the American Society of Exercise Physiology.
Paul is passionate about exercise and continues his own regimen of weight lifting, running and basketball.
