Gold's Gym - North Hollywood
Over ten years ago, the Hollywood brothers (Angel and Hollywood), acquired the rights to their 1st Gold’s Gym in North Hollywood. In the first year of operation, they were chosen as "Rookie of the Year" - a prestigious award given by Gold’s Gym Enterprises, which consists of 650 Gold’s Gyms worldwide, to the gym owners who have made the most impact in their first year of business. This first year of success set the stage for what was to follow.
In the following year, the brothers proceeded with their second Gold’s Gym location set in the 1917 built landmark, Television Center Building, in the heart of Hollywood. The ink not yet dry, pre-sales at this location were far exceeding expectations. In May of 1991, Gold’s Gym Hollywood opened with rave reviews. Catering to Hollywood’s elite, Gold’s Gym Hollywood became known as "LA’s Celebrity Workout Spot." Hollywood’s biggest stars and industry movers and shakers descended upon the popular workout site and once there, they became common and ordinary, "everyday" people amongst 10,000+ members.
It is normal to see Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Minnie Driver, Alicia Silvererstone, Mira Sorvino, Morgan Freeman, Seal, Mark Wahlberg, Lela Rochon, Jennifer Lopez, Dean Caine, Super Model Tyson, Fabio, and many others on a daily basis. Many national publications have crowned Gold’s Gym Hollywood as "Gym to The Stars."It is also LA’s media favorite.
